The Africa Gas Association (TAGA) is the leading voice of the natural gas and energy industry in Africa. It seeks to become one of the most influential and respectful organizations in the global natural gas and energy industry.
TAGA’s mission is to influence and support policies which promote a strong, viable and sustainable natural gas industry in Africa and beyond in an efficient and environmentally friendly manner.
TAGA sponsors and participates in a number of forums, partnerships and coalitions to foster dialogue on energy policy and achieve a better understanding of natural gas in Africa.
WORLD LPG ASSOCIATION
The World LPG Association (WLPGA) is the authoritative voice for the global LPG industry with over 250 members in 125 countries. The association unites private and public companies involved in any LPG industry activities, develops long-term partnerships with international organisations and implements projects on local and global scales. The association was established in 1987 and granted Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council in 1989.
The association’s mission is to demonstrate the benefits of LPG; inform, educate and influence global stakeholders; support the development of LPG markets; promote compliance with standards, good business and safety practices; and identify innovation and facilitate knowledge transfer. www.worldlpgas.com
Serving the Interests of Industry and Members in the Upstream and Midstream Oil and Gas Sectors in Africa.
The South African Oil & Gas Alliance (SAOGA) is dedicated to promoting the upstream and midstream sectors of the oil and gas value chain, primarily in South Africa and regionally in Southern Africa.
The organisation operates as a partnership between the public and private sectors, receiving public funding to carry out a range of industry development activities and working to promote the interests of members. It is overseen by an independent volunteer Board of Directors from industry and a number of other key stakeholders.
SAOGA represents its members and industry in the services sector. Other upstream organisations include The Offshore Petroleum Association of South Africa (“OPASA”) and The Onshore Petroleum Association of South Africa (“ONPASA”). For further information about these organisations click here.
